What does an AI automation agency actually do?
An AI automation agency designs and builds systems that take over repetitive business processes such as quoting, reporting, document handling, reconciliation and customer follow-up, using AI agents, workflow automation and machine learning. At Ibris Dev we go further than most agencies: we're a product engineering studio too, so everything we build is production-grade software, integrated with your existing systems and measured against a return.
How much does AI automation cost in the UK?
It depends entirely on scope, and you will know the number before you commit to anything. Every Ibris Dev engagement starts with a costed roadmap: we identify which workflows are worth automating, estimate the return in hours reclaimed and cost removed, then quote fixed-scope and fixed-price against it. First builds are deliberately scoped around the fastest-payback workflow, so you can start with a single automation, prove it, and expand from there. No open-ended day rates and no surprise invoices.
How long does an AI automation project take?
A discovery and automation audit typically takes two to three weeks. A first production automation usually ships within six to twelve weeks. We deliberately scope the first build around the fastest-payback workflow, so you see measurable results in the first quarter.
Is our business data safe? Are you UK GDPR compliant?
Yes. Ibris Dev is a UK-registered company and every system we build is designed around UK GDPR: data residency, access controls, audit trails and human approval points where decisions matter. We'll happily work within your existing security and compliance requirements, including on-premise or private-cloud deployment.
Which industries do you work with?
We work with UK businesses in professional services, logistics and supply chain, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, e-commerce, construction and recruitment. Size matters far less than repetition: whether you are a ten-person team or an established group, if the same process runs hundreds of times a month there is usually automation worth building. We scope the work to the business, not the other way round.
Do you also build custom software and AI products?
Yes. Product engineering is one of our three practices. Ibris Dev designs and builds web applications, SaaS products and AI-powered software end to end: architecture, design, development, LLM integration, deployment and ongoing iteration. Many clients start with automation and then have us build the products their customers use.
Can Ibris Dev build our MVP or SaaS product?
Yes. MVP and SaaS development is core Ibris Dev work: we take a product from concept to production launch, typically in eight to sixteen weeks, with architecture, UX design, development, cloud infrastructure and billing all handled by one senior team. We build the first version to production standard, so your MVP is a foundation, not a prototype you throw away.
Can you integrate AI into software we already have?
Yes. You don't need a rebuild to add AI. We integrate LLM assistants, document intelligence, search and recommendation features into existing products via APIs, using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) grounded in your own data so answers are accurate and cited. We handle evaluation, guardrails and monitoring, so AI features behave in production, not just in a demo.
Do you build websites?
Not brochure or marketing websites. Ibris Dev focuses on web app development: software that people log into and work in, such as client portals, internal platforms, dashboards, booking and quoting systems, SaaS products and AI-powered tools. If you need a marketing site we are happy to point you to people who do that well. If you need a web application that runs part of your business, that is exactly what we build.
Do you modernise or replace legacy software?
We do. Legacy modernisation is a common starting point for Ibris Dev clients: we audit the existing system, then either incrementally re-engineer it or rebuild it as a modern web application, preserving your data and workflows while removing the maintenance drag. Automation is usually designed in at the same time, so the new system removes work rather than just moving it.
